You can connect the headset to most smartphones with the 3.5 mm stereo plug (compatible with standard headphone jacks) or by using the additional 3.5 mm adapter (included with headsets purchased after 24 May 2012) if needed.

Your Bose® headset works with most Android™, Blackberry® and Windows® smartphones without any adapters.
If you purchased your Bose headset after 24 May 2012, a 3.5 mm adapter was included. You may need to use this adapter if your phone does not respond when you press the Answer/End button, if you are getting partial or no sound, or if the microphone is not picking up sound.
If you purchased your Bose headset before 24 May 2012, it included two unique 2.5 mm adapters, each identified by a small symbol (circle or triangle) on the top of the plug. You will need to use one of these adapters if your phone has a 2.5mm headphones/headset jack.
Select the appropriate adapter. Refer to www.Bose.com/phones to determine which adapter is compatible with your phone.

Note: If your phone does not respond when you press the Answer/End button, if you are getting partial or no sound, or if the microphone is not picking up sound, you may be using the wrong adapter. Try the other adapter and check again.
