If the Ethernet cable (that was connected to the speaker) is on the same network as your device running the SoundTouch app, you can reconnect it to the speaker after it appears in the app.
Putting a system into Setup mode
Entering Setup mode lets you connect a device to the Wi-Fi network broadcast by the Bose system. This is useful for system set up and diagnostics.
To enter Setup mode:
- If an Ethernet cable is connected to the back of the SoundTouch speaker, disconnect it.
- On the top of the speaker, simultaneously press and hold the 2 and Vol - buttons.
A countdown beginning from five and the message "Hold for setup" appears in the display.
- Wait until the Wi-Fi status indicator light glows amber, then release the buttons.
"Setup" appears in the display and the Wi-Fi status indicator light will glow amber while in Setup mode.
