Using another remote to control your Bose system
Your system can receive IR commands from other remote controls. This is useful, for example, if you want to program a third-party universal remote to control multiple devices in your home, including your Bose system. Find out how to control your system with another remote.
Using a universal learning remote to control your system:
Your system can be controlled by universal remotes that send IR (infrared) commands. You do not need to change any settings on your system. Just be sure not to block the IR remote control sensor on the front of your system.
To program a universal remote, refer to the programming instructions for it. Many universal remotes include codes for different brands. For these remotes, try each code provided for Bose to determine if one can control your system. (Tip: Some codes for a brand may offer more control than others.)
